The festive season is beginning — I love this time of the year, and I’m planning a blog post about the Advent and Christmas traditions that I grew up with.
What festive traditions do you have, wherever you are in the world? I’d love to hear from you in the comments section below.
Happy Christmas Season!! I love the snow here on your blog. Such a nice, festive touch. I can’t wait to read about your traditions!
When I was growing up, we used to go to my grandparents (my grandma was from Italy) on Christmas Eve and have the Feast of the Seven Fishes. I never ate fish, but I loved the tradition of being with family on Christmas Eve!

Thank you. 🙂 Oh, I had forgotten about the snow! It’s a WordPress setting that switches on automatically each year at the beginning of December.
I haven’t heard of the Feast of the Seven Fishes. How interesting! Was your grandma a first-generation immigrant to the States? It must be lovely having Italian heritage — maybe one day you’ll go to Italy. 🙂

I had no idea the snow was a wordpress feature–that’s so cool! Does my site have snow?!
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is definitely interesting! I wish I payed more attention to it when I was younger because they don’t do it anymore. Yep, my grandma was a first generation immigrant! Maybe one day I will visit Italy. It sounds like a lovely place 🙂

I can’t see any snow on your site, but you can make it snow if you’d like:
Go to your dashboard.
Navigate to Settings → General.
Scroll down and check the box next to “Show falling snow on my blog until January 4th.” 🙂

Thank you. I’m hoping to publish it this Sunday — Saint Nicholas’ Day and the second Sunday of Advent. But it needs to be written first! 🙂
