Photo challenge day 11: Warmth

Today’s theme from the First Thirty-one Photo Challenge at Fourtuitous is “warmth”.

Few things are more delicious and more warming on a cold winter’s day than a hearty bowl of home-made soup. This honey-roasted parsnip and carrot soup is my own creation. The addition of ground cumin, mild chili powder and plenty of black pepper give it a spicy warmth.

  1. This looks yummy. You must be quite a cook to dream up such a gourmet combination. Wish we had parsnips in Japan. I miss the taste! Glad to see you are keeping up your photo challenge!

    • It is very yummy! 🙂 I’m not the first person to combine roasted parsnips and carrots but I personalized it a little by adding different spices. I’ll post the recipe on here today.

Thank you! I am enjoying the photo challenge.
